Beau Vallon
Beau Vallon is the busiest beach in Seychelles and the only one with real infrastructure: restaurants, dive centres, watersports, a market in the evening. The bay opens northwest and therefore sits in the lee from May to September.

If you want solitude this is the wrong beach — if you have just landed after a long flight and want to get into the water, it is the right one. The sand shelves gently, which makes it usable with children. From December to March the northwest monsoon can bring waves and cloudy water here; the south of Mahé is the better choice then.
