October — Seychellen

When to go

Seychelles in October

October is the second transition month and much like April: little wind, clear water, both coasts usable. It is simply less well known, and therefore emptier.

For diving and snorkelling October is the better pick than April, because you can still get it. If you want April's visibility without booking nine months ahead, take this month.

Transition months

April and October sit between the two wind directions. There is the least wind, the water is at its clearest, and because no trade wind is pressing against one coast, both sides of the islands work. For diving and snorkelling these are the two best months of the year.

Temperatures move between roughly 24 and 31 °C all year. We do not quote rainfall totals or water temperatures to a decimal place — they vary by station and by year, and we do not publish figures we cannot stand behind.

Before you book

Three islands in seven nights?

It is the most common mistake in Seychelles. Every island change costs half a day, and the transfer days land in the middle of the trip. One conversation beforehand prevents it.
