Mahé
Port Launay
Port Launay is a horseshoe-shaped bay on Mahé's northwest coast, inside the Port Launay Marine National Park near Constance Ephelia resort. A fringing reef closes off both sides of the bay, so it forms a calm natural harbour good for snorkelling straight from the shore.

- Safety
- Being sheltered, the sea here usually stays calm — that is not a substitute for checking conditions yourself on site.
- Access
- main road at Port Glaud, roadside parking
Public road access runs directly off the main west-coast road at Port Glaud, so you park roadside and walk straight onto the sand, framed by granite boulders and forested hills. The bay lies inside the Port Launay Marine National Park, where spearfishing and collecting are banned and reef life inside the horseshoe stays largely undisturbed, which is what makes it good for snorkelling. On-site amenities are very limited, so bring your own water and gear rather than expect a beach bar.

Three islands in seven nights?
It is the most common mistake in Seychelles. Every island change costs half a day, and the transfer days land in the middle of the trip. One conversation beforehand prevents it.
