Praslin
Anse Possession
Anse Possession lies on Praslin's north coast between Anse Pasquière and Anse Petite Coeur, facing Curieuse Island, protected by a coral reef with a drop-off around 300 metres offshore that keeps most of the bay a shallow lagoon. It also sits inside the sheltered Curieuse channel rather than facing open sea, so it stays calm nearly all year.

- Safety
- Being sheltered, the sea here usually stays calm — that is not a substitute for checking conditions yourself on site.
- Access
- By car, parking alongside the beach
Anse Volbert/Côte d'Or lies nearby. The site is historic: the French Marion-Dufresne expedition anchored here on 21 September 1768, and on 20 November 1768 the 'Stone of Possession' was raised close by, formally claiming the island for France and giving it the name Praslin. A small fishing community works the eastern end of the beach, while the western end stays quiet and undeveloped. Stingrays are often active in the shallows in the morning, so wade in carefully.

Three islands in seven nights?
It is the most common mistake in Seychelles. Every island change costs half a day, and the transfer days land in the middle of the trip. One conversation beforehand prevents it.
