Anse Boudin

Anse Boudin lies on Praslin's north coast, inside the channel that separates the island from Curieuse just offshore. Curieuse blocks the open-ocean swell, so the water here stays flat and shallow almost all the time.

Being sheltered, the sea here usually stays calm — that is not a substitute for checking conditions yourself on site.

This is a working beach rather than a resort one: Seychellois fishermen anchor their boats here, and on Saturdays locals play football on the sand. The shallow, current-free water makes it one of the calmer, safer places on Praslin to swim with children, and any seaweed that drifts in gets washed out again rather than settling. It also serves as a departure point for boat trips to Curieuse and Cousin Island, and snorkellers in the coral-lined cove report hawksbill turtle sightings. Anse Lazio is a short drive further on and draws most of the visitors, leaving Anse Boudin markedly quieter.

Three islands in seven nights?

It is the most common mistake in Seychelles. Every island change costs half a day, and the transfer days land in the middle of the trip. One conversation beforehand prevents it.
