Domestic flights between the islands
The domestic flight from Mahé to Praslin takes about fifteen minutes and is the fastest link between the two islands. The catch is baggage: the allowance is markedly lower than on the international flight.

Arriving with normal long-haul luggage often means paying excess on the domestic leg or repacking. Settle the applicable limit when you book, not at the counter. The aircraft are small, sell out early in high season, and a flight can be cancelled in strong wind — so do not put the island change on your departure day.
