Getting there
Between the islands by ferry
The ferry links Mahé, Praslin and La Digue several times a day: about an hour from Mahé to Praslin, then roughly fifteen minutes on to La Digue. It costs less than the flight and takes normal luggage without argument.

- weeks ahead in high season
Between May and September, with the southeast trade wind running, the crossing to Praslin can get rough — if you are prone to seasickness, take something beforehand and sit amidships. In high season the popular departures sell out weeks ahead, the afternoon ones in particular. The Praslin to La Digue leg, by contrast, is short and untroubled in almost any weather.

Before you book
Three islands in seven nights?
It is the most common mistake in Seychelles. Every island change costs half a day, and the transfer days land in the middle of the trip. One conversation beforehand prevents it.
