Platte Island
Platte lies about 130 to 140 kilometres south of Mahe, alone in the Southern Coral Group, and the only way there is by charter flight. The island covers about 0.58 km² (58 hectares), has no permanent population, and carries a single resort: the 50-villa Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island.

Platte is a flat coral sand cay in the Southern Coral Group, not one of the granitic islands. It was discovered in 1769 by Lieutenant de Lampériaire, later served as a quarantine station and was worked for guano and coconut; the state-owned Island Development Company (IDC) now administers the island and runs its airstrip. About 40 female hawksbill turtles nest here each year, green turtles nest in smaller numbers, and the surrounding seagrass meadows serve as a nursery for young turtles, lemon and blacktip sharks, and eagle rays.

Three islands in seven nights?
It is the most common mistake in Seychelles. Every island change costs half a day, and the transfer days land in the middle of the trip. One conversation beforehand prevents it.
