What we found
Raffles Seychelles sits on the north shore of Praslin at Anse Takamaka, its villas built down a hillside toward the beachfront across a 30-hectare property. The resort opened in 2011 as the first Raffles built from the ground up for the brand, rather than converted from an existing hotel. It has 87 private pool villas across nine categories, ranging from Hillside Garden View Pool Villas to a Four Bedroom Pool Residence, each with a private pool and personal butler service. Raffles Spa comprises 12 treatment pavilions and two spa suites, and the grounds are home to 16 adult and three young Aldabra giant tortoises alongside native plantings that include coco de mer palms. The property is about 20 minutes by car from the Vallée de Mai UNESCO World Heritage Site and about 5 minutes from Anse Lazio beach.
