What we found
Hotel L'Archipel sits on a hillside above its own private beach, Anse Gouvernement, at the north-east end of Praslin's Côte d'Or bay, roughly 12 km from Praslin Airport and 3 km from Praslin Jetty. Seychellois hotelier Louis D'Offay founded the property around 1987 as a nine-room boutique hotel; it has since grown to its present 32 rooms and suites, split into two 120 sq m Family Suites, ten 65 sq m Senior Suites, sixteen 60 sq m Deluxe Rooms and four 60 sq m Superior Rooms. Two restaurants, La Gigolette on the beach and La Feuille d'Or on the first floor, sit alongside Bar Ton Francis by an infinity pool. There is no dedicated spa, so beauty and wellness treatments are brought to guest rooms on request. The hillside setting includes paths and steps that the hotel itself notes make access difficult for guests with reduced mobility.
