What we found
La Digue Island Lodge sits on Anse Réunion beach on La Digue. According to the lodge, it was built in 1973 and was the island's first hotel, with A-frame beach and garden chalets built in a traditional Creole-resort style. The grounds also include the Yellow House, a restored colonial-era building dating to the early 1900s. Accommodation is organized into eight categories, from Standard Garden Rooms and one- and two-bedroom Beach House Suites to Gregoire's Apartment and the Yellow House itself, plus the satellite L'Union 2-Bedroom Villas near Anse Source d'Argent on the other side of the island. On site there is a swimming pool with a swim-up bar, direct beach access, four dining venues, a separate beach bar, and Azzurra Dive Center, a PADI-affiliated dive operation.
